The road was somewhat steep and winding. The mist hung delicately in a soft blanket on the branches.
There was nothing fake there; no city lights, flashing signs or enticing barrage of media.
Only the tender green of the living plants and trees that populated the mountain, hugging the soil as they cascaded down the slopes to the valleys below.
Sincere.
Real.
Transparent.
In our shame and guilt, or perhaps our lack of self-esteem, we tend to shrink back from telling God what we really feel inside, somehow ignoring the fact that He knows our deepest thoughts.
We can approach God sincerely.
We can be real.
We can be transparent.
Theres no need to be fake.
"..and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." ---Hebrews 10:21-23
